2010年适逢中央音乐学院建院70周年，在全院师生、海内外校友欢庆母校华诞的日子里，作为展现学院教学、演出成果的中央音乐学院音乐节也将迎来十岁生日，今年的音乐节必定意义非凡。
十年风雨兼程，中央音乐学院音乐节不仅是作为全国最高音乐学府在教学、演奏、创作和研究等各个领域的全方位成果展示，也是中国音乐界的一大盛事。
创立于2001年的中央音乐学院音乐节，已经成功举办了九届。第十届中央音乐学院音乐节将于2010年11月22日至2010年12月7日在北京举行，本届音乐节在展现有着七十年教学积淀的学院师生、海内外校友风采的宗旨上，将继续扩大音乐节的影响力，努力拓展高雅音乐的受众，让更多的音乐爱好者听到质量上乘、极具亲和力的音乐会。2010年的中央音乐学院音乐节将面临转型，音乐节主题向多样化，体裁形式向灵活化的方向进行尝试，让音乐节走出校园，让音乐节走向大众。
届时，音乐节除了奉献二十余台富于学院特色展现最高音乐学府教、演成果的音乐会外，还将盛邀活跃于海内外乐坛的知名校友联合Guildhall London Music School、中国三重奏、中国青年交响乐团、中国少年交响乐团、EOS交响乐团、郭淑珍歌剧中心等国内知名团体倾情参演。
今年恰逢世界著名音乐家肖邦、舒曼诞辰200周年、马勒诞辰150周年，本届音乐节将融入全世界隆重纪念三位卓越音乐大师的活动之中，大部分音乐会主题多侧重三位音乐家的作品。音乐节也将注重体裁的灵活性，大型交响乐、歌剧与轻型艺术歌曲、室内乐音乐会相结合。音乐会形式多样，有暗含故事情节串联的室内乐音乐会，也有爵士肖邦的专场；有戏剧性艺术歌曲音乐会，也有肖邦钢琴作品精选。
此外，本届音乐节还将举办研讨会和学术讲座，这也是音乐节的重大转向之一。届时将盛邀全国九大音乐学院钢琴系主任、知名钢琴家和资深学者共同探讨肖邦、舒曼的钢琴音乐艺术。我们还邀请了知名艺术家、文艺批评家陈丹青先生主持音乐讲座，艺术与学术交相辉映。

The Central Conservatory of Music approached its 70th anniversary in 2010, while all staff and alumni at home and abroad getting together celebrating the anniversary, as a demonstration of achievements on education and performance,t he Music Festival of CCOM is approaching its 10th anniversary, therefore the music festival this year must be of great consequence.
Ten years of trials and hardships, the Music Festival of CCOM is not only for the conservatory of high prestige as an all-round demonstration of achievements on education, performance and creation, but also a big event in China music circle.
Founded in 2001, the Music Festival of CCOM has been successfully held for nine years. The Tenth Music Festival of CCOM will be held in Beijing from Nov.22nd to Dec.7th, 2010. With the concept of presenting the achievements of faculties and students during 70 years' education accumulation, the festival will continue to expand the influence and popularize the classical music, so that concerts with high quality and great affinity will be enjoyed by more and more music lovers. The Music Festival of CCOM in 2010 will face the transition, in which the theme is becoming diverse and the genre and form is becoming flexible. Let the music festival out of the conservatory, and let the music festival to the public.
More than 20 concerts will be held to demonstrate the teaching and performing achievements, and international artists and groups will be invited by the music festival, which include: Guildhall London Music School , China Trio, the China Youth Symphony Orchestra, the Middle School Students Orchestra, EOS Orchestra, Guo Shuzhen Opera Centre,etc.
This year marks the world-famous musicians, Chopin and Schumann's 200th anniversary, and Mahler's 150th anniversary, the music festival this year will be integrated into the world activities solemnly commemorating the three great masters, and most of the theme of concerts will focus on the work of them.The music festival will also focus on the flexibility of the genre, and combine the large-scale symphony and opera with the light art songs and chamber music. There will be concerts in various forms, from chamber music with a story to special jazz Chopin; from concerts of dramatic art songs to Chopin piano works.
In addition, this festival will also hold seminars and academic lectures, and this is one of the major transformation. We will invite the Deans of piano department from nine conservatories in China, well-known pianists and senior scholars together to have a seminar on Chopin and Schumann's piano music art. We will also invite the renowned artist and art critics, Mr.Chen Danqing to host a lecture, which is both artistic and academic.
