“世界音乐周”(World Music Days)是中央音乐学院高水平世界音乐研究和文化交流学术活动,每年或每两年举办一次。自创办以来,至今已举办过十届,涉及亚洲、非洲、拉丁美洲、欧洲、大洋洲等20多个国家的专题音乐研究与交流。从2015年起,“世界音乐周”开始更加紧密地结合中国 国家“一带一路”战略发展,举办了“一带一路——东南亚音乐国际研讨会”,内容主要为海上丝绸之路国家的音乐研究、教学实践研究以及东南亚与中国跨界音乐研究等。2017年,中央音乐学院与中国宋庆龄青少年科技文化交流中心联合主办了“世界音乐周2017‘一带一路’沿线国家青少年音乐教育国际研讨会”暨青少年世界音乐教育交流展示活动,获得了良好的社会反响。
2019年的“世界音乐周”响应党中央十九大“积极促进‘一带一路’国际合作”、“优先发展教育”和“青年兴则国家兴,青年强则国家强”的战略决策,关注“非洲与世界”相关国家音乐教学对中国青少年的培养和影响。为充分发挥中央音乐学院艺术服务人民、服务社会的精神,对外发挥良好的示范引领及育人作用,活动延续上一届的合作模式,由中央音乐学院和中国宋庆龄青少年科技文化交流中心作为主办单位,中央音乐学院音乐学系、中国宋庆龄青少年科技文化交流中心艺术中心、中央音乐学院国际交流处作为承办部门,中国音乐家协会世界民族音乐学会、中国世界民族音乐教学研究会作为活动协办单位。
本届“世界音乐周2023”主题为:世界民族音乐教学与实践研究国际研讨暨青少年世界音乐教育交流展示活动。
为积极响应党的二十大“推动共建‘一带一路’高质量发展”和“青年强,则国家强”的战略决策,本届世界音乐周将重点关注世界民族音乐教学与研究实践以及国际音乐文化交流对中国广大青少年国际视野及多元文化观的培养。本次活动由中央音乐学院与中国宋庆龄青少年科技文化交流中心主办,中央音乐学院音乐学系、中国宋庆龄青少年科技文化交流中心艺术中心共同承办,中央音乐学院国际交流处、中国音乐家协会世界民族音乐学会、中国世界民族音乐教学研究会、中央音乐学院学报、中央音乐学院科研处、中国科教电影电视协会教育委员会以及中国学院奖组织委员会共同协办。
参加此次活动的人员既有来自伊朗、印度、美国、荷兰、土耳其、 叙利亚、加纳、印度尼西亚和韩国等国家从事世界音乐教学与研究及实践的专家、学者及音乐家,也有来自中国高校及校外教育机构、世界民族音乐学会和世界民族音乐教学研究会等从事世界民族音乐研究与教学的师生。该活动将以学术讲座、工作坊、研讨、音乐会以及世界民族音乐教学与实践视频大赛等形式进行。同时, 组委会将组织青少年艺术团体参与和观摩艺术展示。本次活动历时5天,白天均以学术讲座与研讨、 工作坊和视频展播形式进行交流,晚上则以歌舞音乐会的形式进行展示,计划举办 26 场讲座及工作坊、7 场研讨、8场音乐会。活动期间还将举行“纪念陈自明先生诞辰90周年暨世界民族音乐学与研究学术研讨”活动。同时,本次音乐周将深入推进国内外青少年的互动交流,拉近彼此距离,促进艺术教育的健康发展。
World Music Days is a high-level academic activity of world music research and cultural exchange of the Central Conservatory of Music. It is held once a year or two years. Since its inception, it has been held ten times, involving thematic music research and exchanges from more than 20 countries in Asia, Africa, Latin America, Europe, and Oceania. Since 2015, World Music Days has been more closely integrated with the strategic development of the “Belt and Road Initiative.” Belt and Road—Southeast Asian Music International Symposium in 2015 focused on research on musics of the countries of the Maritime Silk Road, teaching practices, and cross-border music between Southeast Asia and China. In 2017, the Central Conservatory of Music and China Soong Ching Ling Science & Culture Center for Young People jointly hosted the 2017 World Music Days—International Symposium on Youth Music
Education in Countries Along the “Belt and Road” and Youth World Music Education Exchange and Exhibition Activity, which has achieved good social response.
The 2019 World Music Days responded to the 19th National Congress of the CPC Central Committee's strategic decisions to “actively promote Belt and Road international cooperation, prioritize the development of education, and the prosperity of the youth is the prosperity of the country, and the strength of the youth is the strength of the country, and centered on the cultivation and influence of the music teaching of the countries related to Africa and the World on the youth of China. In order to give full play to the spirit of the Central Conservatory of Music to serve the people and the society, and to play a good role in demonstrating, leading, and educating the people, this activity continued the cooperation mode of the 2017 World Music Days, with the Central Conservatory of Music and China Soong Ching Ling Science & Culture Center for Young People as the organizers, the Musicology Department of the Central Conservatory of Music, the China Soong Ching Ling Science & Culture Center for Young People, and the Office of International Affairs of Central Conservatory of Music as the organizers, while the World Ethnic Music Society of the Chinese Musicians Association and the China World Ethnic Music Teaching and Research Association acted as the co-organizers of the event.
In order to actively respond to the 20th CPC National Congress’s strategy of “promoting the construction of ‘Belt and Road’ quality development” and “if the youth is strong, the country will be strong,” this year's World Music Days will focus on the teaching and research practice of world ethnic music, as well as the cultivation of international vision and multicultural outlook of Chinese youth through international music and cultural exchanges. The event will be hosted by the Central Conservatory of Music and China Soong Ching Ling Science & Culture Center for Young People, organized by the Musicology Department of the Central Conservatory of Music and the Art
Center of China Soong Ching Ling Science & Culture Center for Young People, and co-organized by the International Affairs Office of the Central Conservatory of Music, the World Ethnic Music Society of China Musicians Association, the China World Ethnic Music Teaching and Research Association, Journal of the Central Conservatory of Music, the Academic Research Office of the Central Conservatory of Music, the Education Committee of China Science Film and Video Association, and the Organizing Committee of the China Academy Prize.
Participants this time include experts, scholars and musicians from Iran, India, the United States, the Netherlands, Turkey, Syria, Ghana, Indonesia and South Korea who are engaged in world music teaching, research and practice, as well as teachers and students engaged in world ethnic music research and teaching from Chinese universities and off-campus educational institutions, the World Ethnic Music Society of China Musicians Association, and the China World Ethnic Music Teaching and Research Association. World Music Days 2023 will feature exchanges and discussions in the form of academic lectures, workshops, seminars, concerts, and a video competition on world ethnic music teaching and practice. At the same time, the organizing committee will organize youth art groups to participate and observe the art demonstrations. World Music Days 2023 will last for 5 days, with exchanges in the form of academic lectures and seminars, workshops and video exhibitions during the daytime, and demonstrations in the form of song and dance concerts in the evening. It is planned to hold 26 lectures and workshops, 7 seminars and 8 concerts. During the 5 days, there will also be academic events, including Commemorating the 90th Anniversary of the Birth Prof. Chen Ziming's and Symposium on Teaching and Research of World Ethnic Music. Moreover, 2023 World Music Week will promote interactive exchanges between young people at home and abroad, bringing them closer to each other and promoting the positive development of art education.
